Kiesha Ade LMSW
Kiesha has experience in domestic violence advocacy, recovery, and mental health crisis work, and is committed to empowering clients on their journey toward healing and growth. She employs an eclectic approach, integrating evidence-based modalities such as cognitive psychology, mindfulness practices, trauma-informed care, and person-centered techniques to meet the unique needs of each client.
Additionally, Kiesha strives to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued and empowered. She takes care to apply an understanding approach recognizing that every individual’s healing journey is deeply personal. She believes healing through humor and storytelling are essential to the therapeutic process as her own life experiences have been a driving force into the profession.
Kiesha has over five years of experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, four years of experience in individual therapy, and a year of experience working in the area of mental health crisis services where she assessed and treated patients with a variety of conditions such as suicidal ideation, loss and grief, addiction, and psychosis. She also has experience in navigating systems such as family court and child protective services. Kiesha has training in forensic social work, including sexual crimes and women’s studies, and is currently receiving training in the specialty of complex trauma treatment. Kiesha believes that as a therapist, there is always opportunity to learn more and values opportunity for continued education. Kiesha is currently participating in clinical supervision to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Idaho.
